With twenty odd years of experience attending academic and literary confences/meetings I shall say that your Festival is easily the best I have ever attended -- non pareil in the range of its themes, the diversity and quality of its speakers, and the fabulous warmth, hospitality and insight of the organizers. It is, as the mathematician GH Hardy used to say, in 'the Bradman Class', that is, in a class of its own. There has been and will be no cricketer like Donald George Bradman, and there will be and has been no festival like the Adelaide Festival of Ideas."
